The Itasca County Family YMCA provides a welcoming place for the entire community to gather and participate in innovative, quality programs that strengthen families, aids in the healthy development of children, encourages positive individual behavior and contributes to a healthier, safer community for all.
The Itasca County Family YMCA responds to community needs by serving people of all incomes, ages and abilities. Our mission is to strengthen ourselves, families and communities by promoting growth in spirit, mind and body.
We serve more than 6000 people in diverse communities within Itasca County and beyond. We bring together young and old, men and women, people of all faiths, backgrounds and incomes. No one is turned away for inability to pay. Scholarships, subsidies and outreach provide critical access to low-income families.
We provided $94,000 in financial assistance for children, youth and families to participate in YMCA programs and membership in 2019. We provided another $86,200 in subsidies to keep the Active Living Center and afterschool youth program free to all in our community.
