WOODTICK 12K - September 21, 2008 The 2008 Woodtick 12K will be run on a USATF certified course using the Itasca/Mesabi Bike Trail. Participants will meet at the Itasca County Fairgrounds Trail Head building and then be bused to the race start at Gunn Park. Trail consists of some hills through Northern Minnesota forest with scenic vistas. Date: Sunday, September 21 Registration/Check-In: 7:00-7:45am Race Start Time: 8:00am Entry Fee: $19 if postmarked on or before September 15, or $24 after. |

The Itasca Runner’s Club The Itasca Runner’s Club is an informal group for anyone who likes to run or is interested in starting. The Runner’s Club promotes running in the area, sponsors periodic group runs, and provides training, information and motivation to runners of all abilities. Everyone is welcome to attend. Meets 3rd Tuesday of each month @ 6:00pm in the YMCA MPR. YMCA membership is not required. |

Tall Timber Days 5k Join us for this annual community tradition. Due to road construction and safety concerns this year there will not be a 10k run. Both runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate. The run will begin and end at the IRA Civic Center. Registration forms and maps will be available at the YMCA. Date: Saturday, August 2 Registration/Check-In: 7:00-7:45am Race Start Time: 8:00am Entry Fee: $18 pre-register fee—must be received by 5pm Friday evening Or $20 registration fee on race day. All participants will receive a t-shirt and race packet. Awards ceremony will take place at about 9am and awards will be given out for the top three male and female overall and in each age bracket. |
