Bruce Bauer Senior Center Speakers, music and activities are happening on a regular basis at the Bruce Bauer Senior Center. Check out our monthly newsletter to find out just what’s going on. Friends of BBSC: You can become a Friend of the Bruce Bauer Center for $21.00 a year. This donation will allow you discounts on trips and activities and also an annual subscription to the BBSC Newsletter.
Activities Bible Study: Thursdays 10:00am Bingo: Bring a white elephant gift or 25 cents, Fridays 10:00am Art Class: Particpants use oil paints, water colors, and charcoal with an instructor available. Finished pieces are displayed at the annual art show in the spring. (no class during the summer) Monthly Dances: Dance to the music of the 40’s and 50’s, third Monday of each month. 12:30-2:30pm. Refreshments are served and prize drawings are held. “500” Club: You don’t need a partner, just drop in and sign up. Wednesdays 12:15-3:15pm Craft Club: Meets on Mondays at 12:30pm Blood Pressure Checks: every other Monday at 9:30am Free Hearing Checks: First Thursday of each month, Noon to 2:00pm
Fitness Senior Walk or Swim Time: Special reduced price for seniors age 62 and over who just want to come in for a dip in the pool or walk on the indoor track. Monday through Friday 11am-1pm. Non-Members: $2 per day
Tappercize: Practice tap dancing steps & routines for a great leg workout or just to have fun. Join our energetic volunteers Lu Germ and Pat Cromell in the gym. Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30am-10:15am YMCA Members: Free Non-members: $28 for a 14 visit punch card
Senior Strength Training: Resistance training is so important, especially as we age. This class is just for those individuals who want to gain strength, flexibility and ward off osteoporosis. Come try this group style strength training class that uses a variety of equipment, held in the aerobic studio. Tuesday and Thursdays 10:30am—11:15am YMCA Members: Free Non-members: $30 for a 10 visit punch card |

Senior Line Dance For the mobile senior. Great fun, with music that will have everyone up and dancing. Our low impact line dance class can help to improve flexibility and balance, as well as increase cardio-respiratory endurance. For all levels of ability. Class is led by several of the other students. Time: Mondays 2:00-3:30pm Cost: YMCA members Free Community $20 for a 10-visit punch card |

CAFÉ YMCA: Mondays and Wednesdays the BBSC will offer a fabulous lunch with all the fixing's. Lunches offered for anyone, please call ahead to reserve a meal. Meal costs: $5 for seniors, price varies by meal for all others. |
