H2OX:  Exercise using the resistance of the water for strength and buoyancy for minimum joint stress.

Arthritis Foundation/Rusty Hinges:  This class provides a gentle workout for people with arthritis, MS or other mobility limitations.  Developed in cooperation with the Arthritis Foundation and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  No swimming skills necessary.

Arthritis Foundation/F.I.T.:  The next level in the Arthritis Foundation Classes.  Fibromalgia Interval Training is designed to utilize deep water to help manage pain, stiffness, and fatigue.

Water Exercise Classes are FREE to Y Members.

Community Members may purchase a 10-visit punch card for $30.

Skippers:  ages 3 — 5

Progressives:  ages 6 & Up

Sessions run for 2 weeks.

Choose your day:  Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday

Session 1: September 8—October 25

             No classes October 13-18 for MEA Weekend

             Members may register beginning August 25

             Community may register beginning September 2

Session 2:  October 27—December 13

             No classes November 24—29 for Thanksgiving

             Members may register beginning October 13

             Community may register beginning October 20

YMCA Members: $15.00/Session

Community Members:  $40/Session

PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS

One-on-One swimming instruction is available for those who need a more flexible schedule, or need more personal attention.  We have lesson teachers for children or adults.  From the beginner swimmer to the competitive swimmer we have a teacher to help you improve your stroke!  Set up a time that is convenient for you, call 327-8810 to talk to Sue in the Aquatics Department.

Five 1/2 hour lessons

             Community members $75

Text Box: Sea Turtles Swim Team 2008-2009 Season
Sea Turtles Swim Team is open to all swimmers able to 	swim (any style) for 25 yards without stopping or struggling.  Coaches will instruct swimmers on the technique for the 4 competitive swim strokes.  Team spirit and unity will be developed while competing with other YMCA’s in Minnesota.
Practices begin:  September 29, 2008, runs through February 15, 2009
Parent Meeting:  Tuesday, October 7 @ 7:00pm (Middle School)
Schedule:  Practices will be held weekday evenings (except Wednesdays).  Schedule varies by pool availability.  
Team Fees:  $200 for the first child, $150 for second child, 3rd child in family is free.
High School swimmers may swim with us for 1/2 season for half price!  Fees may be divided into 4 monthly bankdraft payments.

WATER BABIES  ages 6-36 months

Water fun and adjustment time for young children with an adult (mom, dad or grandparent!).   Swim diapers are required for those not toilet trained.
