Y Swim Team

Practice Schedule

Sea Turtles Swim Team is open to swimmers ages 7-18 with previous swim lesson experience and ability to swim front crawl with rhythmic breathing and back crawl one length.  All new Sea Turtles swimmers will undergo a swim evaluation prior to registering for the team. Coaches will instruct swimmers on proper technique for the 4 competitive swim strokes. Team spirit and unity will be developed while competing with other YMCAs in Minnesota. 

Registration Nights & First Practice Nights:  
September 20 & 22, 6-7:30pm.  At the Grand Rapids Middle School Pool. New swimmers come ready to hop in the water for evaluation.  
Practice suits will be available for purchase. 
Order forms for team suits will be available.

Team Fees:  
Includes Section Fees and Y membership for those without current membership. 4 months total. Swimmers with the JV or Varsity school program may register for half season.

Members: $55/month or $220/season
Non Members
         Age 7-13: $72/month or $288/season
         Age 14-18: $77/month or $308/season

Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult before and after practices.

First Practice Night:  September 20th

Assistance for membership and program fees is available, however please apply early - pick up Membership Assistance application at the Membership Desk anytime. Process takes up to 2 weeks.
